Our Jury, set up by the European Commission, consists of the representatives of three European Institutions (the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the Council of the European Union) and one representative of Academia and an NGO. The Jury met on 6 October to nominate the top 6 projects out of 22 shortlisted candidates, of which 16 are solutions and 6 initiatives.
The Jury evaluated the solutions' and initiatives' motivation, impact, and goals; governance model and openness; sustainability and maintenance; the level of uptake and reuse; and collaboration and engagement with the community. Additionally, the Jury looked at the projects’ achievements, their uniqueness, or any factor that made the projects special. The evaluation was designed to find solutions and initiatives that can serve as an inspiration for other European public services and add real value to citizens and public services. You can find the information about 6 projects that have been nominated by the Jury here.
The representatives of the top 6 entries will present their solutions and initiatives on the stage of the conference OSOR Turns 15: From Pioneering to Mainstreaming Open Technologies in Public Services on 21 November in Brussels. The winners of the EU Public Services Open Source Achievement Awards will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at the end of the conference.
