SEMIC opens up opportunities for an interoperable future
SEMIC supports early stage adoption of technologies tackling today's challenges such as the versioning of complex and fast-moving data sets, implementation of data intermediairies for personal data management and open-source knowledge graphs. SEMIC's expertise and knowledge is at the service of public administrations and data experts to support the transition to enhanced data sharing to the benefits of citizens and businesses.
Read more about SEMIC's perspectives on three areas, their respective solutions and how we can offer support. Please note that the three strands were initiated within Member States, who are also in the lead for software development and maintenance. This approach reflects the role of SEMIC as a convener, amplifying initiatives taken on Member State level.
Such pilots are intended as a proof-of-concept to demonstrate the applicability of:
- SEMIC specifications;
- Data decentralisation technologies (e.g. Solid for personal data);
- API metadata exchange based on data standard; and
- Linked Data principles.
