We are very happy to share that the National Interoperability Framework Observatory (NIFO) has released the latest edition of the Digital Public Administrations factsheets.
This new edition introduces several novelties.
This year, we introduced new concise 2-page country factsheets, providing a snapshot of the initiatives on digital public administration and interoperability adopted by European countries between 2023 and 2024. Each factsheet is complemented by a supporting document, which includes a comprehensive overview of all significant developments adopted on these two topics in the past three years (or more depending on the relevance of the initiative).
The second novelty introduced by this edition is the extension of the geographical scope of the data collection. In addition to the 27 EU Member States, the European Free Trade Association countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway), and Ukraine, the 2024 edition of the Digital Public Administration factsheets includes 8 new countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Moldova, and Türkiye.
As for previous editions, a dedicated factsheet and supporting document for the EU will also be published to provide an overview of all initiatives related to digital public administrations and interoperability undertaken at EU level.
And there is more…
The 2024 edition of the State-of-play Report on Digital Public Administration and interoperability will be published on the NIFO collection on the Interoperable Europe Portal in September 2024.
This report will provide a high-level overview of the main developments and trends on digital public administrations and interoperability identified in the 39 European countries falling under the scope of the Digital Public Administration factsheets and based on the 2023 results of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) Monitoring Mechanism.
